Bowenwork offers a non-invasive, holistic approach to pain relief and healing. Bowenwork uses gentle soft-tissue or fascial-release technique on specific spots on the body. It involves a light cross-fiber move of muscle, fascia, nerve or tendon. This works to stimulate the body's energy and activate its healing capacity. This gives the brain the message to heal a particular area and achieve balance and lasting results. Bowen works to help the underlying cause rather than the symptoms. The side effects often include pain relief, improved physical and mental well-being, increased energy, improved circulation, lymphatic drainage, detoxification and stress relief.

Mary Purdy

Mary Purdy has been a RN since 1999. Prior to that she spent several years as a Lactation and Nutrition counselor at Salud Medical Center WIC program. She worked as a triage nurse for Salud and then later at Silverton Hospital as a Lactation Consultant, Labor and Delivery and Postpartum Nurse.

In 2012, Mary began her journey to become a Professional Bowenwork Practitioner.

In 2015 she began learning with Katy Bowman as a Restorative Exercise Specialist and Healthy Foot Practitioner at the Nutritious Movement Center. This training has had a profound impact on her, her family and the way they move and live. It is not just an exercise class it is a way to live and move better.

She has also completed training in MOVNAT, MSTR, Kinesio Taping, and completion of the Integrative Nurse Coaching Program.
